  4.  @kbanghart  oh gimme a break. I've been listening to this for the past 11 years about how Bush was just a "puppet" while Cheney and Rumsfeld were calling the shots behind the scenes. George W. Bush was the main reason the US went to war with Iraq. He entered the White House with one thing in mind on his foreign policy agenda and that was toppling Saddam Hussein from power. Privately, George H.W. Bush considered this one of his biggest failures and he believed he lost the 1992 election because of this (being too shortsighted to realize that it was actually because of the economy). Let's also not forget that Saddam was behind an assassination attempt on George HW Bush when he visited Kuwait in 1993. For Dubya, it was personal.

  7. I strongly suspect Vance grew a beard to hide his prominent jowls. Regardless, he needs to shave if he decides to run in 2028. The Commander-in-Chief should be clean-shaven and well-groomed. We haven’t had a bearded president since Benjamin Harrison in 1893, and no president since Taft has had facial hair of any kind.

  11. NO. You wanna know what's HYPOCRISY? In 2007 when Bush was president and the conservative media (led by Ann Coulter) said there was no need to pull out of Afghanistan because things were going "swimmingly" (Coulter's own words). Then six months after Obama became president, suddenly the Teabaggers were saying Afghanistan was a disaster, that it was "Obama's Vietnam" (again, Coulter's own words).

  21.  @user-wq4ui7gw1w  a lot of women tell me I look better with a beard. But if I were elected POTUS I’d accept the fact that the beard would have to come off. Even Barack Obama (who said he hated shaving and wanted to grow a beard) abided by tradition and kept himself clean-shaven.
