I strongly suspect Vance grew a beard to hide his prominent jowls. Regardless, he needs to shave if he decides to run in 2028. The Commander-in-Chief should be clean-shaven and well-groomed. We haven’t had a bearded president since Benjamin Harrison in 1893, and no president since Taft has had facial hair of any kind.

@user-wq4ui7gw1w matter of opinion. I think he looks better without. Regardless, tradition must prevail over aesthetics.

@user-wq4ui7gw1w a lot of women tell me I look better with a beard. But if I were elected POTUS I’d accept the fact that the beard would have to come off. Even Barack Obama (who said he hated shaving and wanted to grow a beard) abided by tradition and kept himself clean-shaven.
