  1. I don't think it was what he said, I think it was how he said it. Being asked your weaknesses is a very common question for political candidates (it's a very common question during job interviews too) and there are many ways to answer it without ruining your prospects. Hard to believe this guy was a DEMOCRAT. That bitter, defensive tone and the accusatory attitude towards the media (those are hallmark Conservative Republican traits). And we all know how he felt about welfare and Social Security. If John Silber were alive today and politically active, I think we all know which party he'd be supporting.
