Children who grow up with absent fathers are far more likely to end up in poverty, drop out of school, become addicted to drugs, have a child out of wedlock, or end up in prison. The effects of this are clearly illustrated by the African American population. They have the lowest median SAT scores and highest high school dropout rates of any race. In NYC, blacks are only 26 percent of the population but account for 75 percent of the homicides and 70 percent of the thefts there. One out of every three black adult males has a felony . Not a misdemeanor, a FELONY. Sorry if “facts” bother you.
