As I scroll down I see nothing but excuses for homeless people about why they can’t find a job and housing. That’s the Liberal Democrat solution to everything ( ”hand out rather than hand up” ). @nwj03a you are wasting your time arguing with these snowflakes.

@CarolineIronwill if you work full-time as a nurse and housing is unaffordable on your salary, then clearly you have to move to another city where it is. No excuses! If you are who you say you are, you should've been intelligent enough to figure that out on your own by now. Praytell, where is it that you live where the rent is "too damned high" because nurses earn a median salary of $53K in my home state of North Dakota (on top of a $20K signing bonus that some hospitals are offering there) and you're not going to tell me me that North Dakota is unaffordable because I lived there for six years. $1000/month gets you a very nice 1BR apartment in Fargo or Bismarck. Or do you just prefer making excuses and clinging to this narrative about how America is such a "selfish, greedy, racist, sexist, white supremacist country" where workers get exploited and innocent people get thrown onto the street where they starve. That's what you really want to say, isn't it?

@zoeyv6629 Youre comment tells me you’ve actually never talked to people experiencing homeless and they’re just a boogeyman to you but a perfect scapegoat for people in power to trigger you into going against your own self interest ...and YOUR comment tells ME (that in addition to the fact that you can't SPELL...it's your not "you're") that you live in the suburbs in a house with a nice white picket fence and have no idea of the dynamics behind homelessness. You only think with your emotions and you have no solution other than "Oh honey! Let's build more affordable housing! Most of the people living on the street choose to live on the street because their families disown them (because of their drug abuse and stealing), and they can't smoke or drink or shoot up in a homeless shelter like they can in a tent under a freeway. You can ask people like Anat Kimchi who was murdered by a violent street bum here in Chicago. You can ask the victims of people like Frank Abrowka or Jordan Neeley just how much sympathy they feel for the drug-addicted thugs who violently attacked them. Nooooo sean2015 I live in the city! ....yeah sure you do. Have you ever actually gone up to a homeless person and offered to help? Some of them have their brains so fried by drug abuse that they will refuse any help you offer them (other than cash, which they'll use to buy druggs and alcoholl) and a small percentage can actually be violent. Liberals: Many Americans are just a couple of paychecks away from homelessness ...yeah and guess what? That includes me too. You know how I prevent myself from being homeless/. I wake my asss up every morning and go to work. California spent $18 billion on homelessness and the number of homeless people in that state actually grew, to around 170,000 people. For the record I spent a month living out of my car once but never abused drugs or alcohol, never shoplifted or stole, never wasted money on cigarettes or Swishers. I am so sick of people like you making excuses for drug addicts and advocate simply ( Ohhhh sean2015 you're so cruel! They're mentally ill! The system has failed them! America is so greedy! Oh honey I can't even! )

@Bonserak23 how about not being on parole or probation then? Believe it or not, it’s not. that. hard. to NOT commit crime. Even though Leftists like you will always make excuses for criminals.

@joeshoe6184 🤫 shhhh, be quiet. You're destroying their Leftist narrative and debunking their excuses. 🤣

@SincerelyFromStephen your comment makes it obvious that you just want to make every possible excuse for why homeless can’t get their own place… ”Landlords are greedy!” ”America is RATHIST!” ”Oh honey! these poor beautiful souls, I hope they get the help they need!”

I don’t believe someone who says they work full time (as a nurse no less) and are homeless. You’re full of crapp.

California spent $18 billion on homelessness between 2018-2022, and homelessness there actually grew . The US spends half...HALF...of its budget just on Social Security and Medicare. Don't try to say we're a "selfish, greedy" country there, Mills. And don't try the typical Leftist talking point about "money for wars not for the homeless!" -- because we only spend 15 percent of our budget on national defense.
