True everyone should be guaranteed at least a one room apartment at an affordable price. I bought my 2 room apartment in Copenhagen for $ 15.000 around 20 years ago, now it valued at $ 150.000 . It's crazy and sad really for those ordinary people or young people trying to get a home 😕

@theresam2409 Here in Denmark and Europe we have had quite some years with the opportunity to borrow money extremely cheap. That has been a great part of the problem too to drive up prices with a debt driven cycle. You could pay like $ 200 a month to borrow $ 200.000 and pay like 2% a year in interest. Another problem here in Copenhagen where I live is that the left/ socialists who have run this city for 30 years, have built almost no affordable apartments. They have focused on making the city a international city and attrack people with money. It's a huge huge disgrace and have driven out many normal people like nurses, police, firefighters and school teachers. It's a great crime in my book, that the people who makes the glue of society can't even afford to live where they work. So many factors at play , like also those you mention too.

Well I think it more complex, there are 81 million people in Germany and there has always been poverty and homelessness. Like in all countries, even the most rich. Homelessness is due to a series of circumstances in life. Divorce, lost job, high rent, illness , mental problems, alcohol and drugs , social problems in general, bad luck, financial problems. It's sad wherever you live if you are homeless, it's a difficult and stressful life.
