If you wait to escape your home country until "a time of crisis," then you've probably waited too long. What makes anyone think that travel will be unrestricted if/when a real international crisis is looming? That would be akin to waiting until the last minute before leaving the Titanic to see if it's really going down. 🚢

@1queijocas Another example: 1932 Germany, relatively free and open; but 6 months later (⊙▃⊙) is appointed Chancellor (April 1933) and practically overnight Germany becomes a dictatorship. Those Jews that waited to leave paid for their procrastination with their very lives.
