  1. This law is older than our country. It's not just the Democrats it's not just the Republicans. No one has done anything about this outdated as fuck law. You can't just blame one side or the other. In fact if you want you should be blaming the police and DA offices. They could just choose to not enforce this extremely outdated law but they don't. I assume they make a lot of money off of it because they're the only ones who benefit other than criminals.

  2. Just a reminder to everyone sweaters rights are not Democratic laws. They pre-exist this country. Blaming the Democrats for something squatters do is just as stupid as blaming the Republicans. It's both of their fault neither of their fault. No one has ever asked for these laws to be removed from the books because they're no longer necessary. We've never done anything to change them so that they're no longer applicable in this day and age when we know who owns what. I legitimately don't know why the Democratic and Republican party doesn't come together to get rid of these laws. It'd be something they could do by partisanely. Maybe they just don't want us to have any hope.

  3. I think I know who benefits. The court system and the police. Because DA's and police officers could choose to no longer enforce this law when it's obviously not appropriate. But they don't. They choose to enforce it no matter what. The only reason I can assume is because the police and the VA's office makes money off of it through court costs. Because this does not benefit corporations this does not benefit one party or the other this does not benefit banks this doesn't benefit anyone but the criminal. This should be a law that easily overturned by partisanly! So why hasn't it been? Oh and YouTube loves squatters! Any type of criminal really. YouTube will bend over backwards to protect a criminal!
