@2009RayMD China's GDP stayed positive and actually grew during the past two years of pandemic. Everytime the began of a breakout was detected in China the local government immediately locked down the entire city or town, lockdowns usually lasted a month then normal life resumed. China enjoyed pretty much free of Covid in the past 2 years while the rest of the world tried to fight it without success. Forced lockdowns and forced quarantines worked well for China, some people complained but overall most people appreciate this protocol instead of letting covid run wildly like what happened in USA where 100 million people got infected and 1 million people died of covid. In reality China's economy becomes even better during covid pandemic because manufacturing productions in many other countries were affected by covid, they had to shut down, but because China's strict protocol on zero Covid policy so China could resume productions very quickly. Now you know the truth.

@Swarmpope No one dies is the best solution. When there's no covid spreading then there's no new infections. To stop covid spreading takes only a month or less, it's better to prevent then to have many infected people roaming freely around infecting other people of all ages, then the hospitals become overwhelmed with covid patients. Many people of all ages die due to lack of proper medical care, such scenario happened in USA where 1 million people died neededlessly, only if the useless USA government had implemented proper prevention measures then it wouldn't happen. Now many young American men are sexually impotent because they were infected with covid which is known to destroy male's sexual tendency.

@2009RayMD New variants may be super deadly so it's best to stop them from infiltrate and spread in the population. There's no vaccine for new variants haven't appeared yet, also the best existing vaccines aren't guaranteed to work effectively on existing variants, so vaccination is useless. The best strategy is stop the spread of the virus even when it's not as deadly as other ones. China has been using total city lockdowns in the past 2 years and has successfully had the virus under control, because of that China's has highest GDP growth in the world.
