@bassmaster1953 YD still doesn't come remotely close to the KT or other mass extinction events he's talking about. YD only took out 'half' the mega fauna, not smaller animals and only in North America not Europe, or Africa nor Australia or Asia, not even S. America....not in the oceans. It's not comparable.

@bassmaster1953 Let's assume you are exactly correct, that's what--0.5% of Earth's species? Not remotely 50% as defined in video let alone comparable to KT event. You do the arithmetic, add up the mega fauna gone extinct from YD globally and divide it by a million animal species, include plants if you like.

He defined mass extinction as half of the species on Earth, YD doesn't come remotely close to that. It was only the large mammals in NORTH AMERICA. America is NOT THE WORLD and mega fauna are a tiny segment of species.

@ralos5930 Decaying magnetic field has NOTHING to do with it and the only heat that enters the ocean from the mantle is from vulcanism, black smokers and such...a trivial amount overall. You have NO IDEA what your talking about.

@ralos5930 You don't even know where a magnetic field comes from or why the earth is molten or how heat is transferred to the atmosphere and oceans. Start asking questions instead of being aggressively ignorant and stupid. The earths mantel and mag field have NOTHING to do with climate. Learn some geology and physics before announcing to the world your astounding ignorance please. I understood far more at 8 yr. old. Ask anyone because you are surely the dumbest in the room.
