@lauranolastnamegiven3385 My desire to have calm rational discussions w anyone worthy of the effort. Add humor too. SO many things to say about current Banana Republic condition. Emotions are enemy of progress, don't care about 'told you sos', only moving forward BETTER. I was wrong about plenty of things politics over the yrs, we are all wrong all the time, in some ways, goal is to personally be less wrong first. I get it if you were ostracized in certain circles, sometimes unforgivable bc fam, friends, associates showed colors impossible to respect or trust. Cancel them if they can't redeem themselves.

@lauranolastnamegiven3385 My approach is different, for one we are all wrong all the time about some things. VERY smart ppl are as vulnerable to propaganda as the dumbest. Have two sibling professors, tho I haven't talked to them about this in yrs, U can (sadly ironically as it's antithetical to academics to be monolithic) guess which side I expect them to be. My dream convo would be to demonstrate how manipulated we've all been, that they need to completely overhaul their sources of information and be pissed off at being misled. Hell of a stretch given how deep they are likely infected with TDS. Yrs ago called out my sister when she said "I could never respect anyone who votes for T." Pointed out that the rancher's who hired her son she liked so much-- likely based solely on demographics, were Trumpers. Back then I had a little TDS, still makes me cringe a lot tho I support him like no one ever before. He didn't do squat to drain the swamp but he sure revealed the depth and breath of the cesspool. (Vivek Ramaswamy or Rand Paul be my better picks but that's hypothetical) I want a F'n wrecking ball in DC.
