Maybe YOU are failing at taking responsibility for your own life and advancing , many of us are doing great. If free enterprise is failed by society we ALL LOSE.

@ryanwilliams3857 The big problem in the USA is failed education system dominated by socialist tendencies resulting in financially illiterate population. They don't even know it's feasible to personally save and invest, to put their OWN CAPITAL to work for themselves. Astoundingly irresponsible that 60% don't even have a grand set aside for emergencies. Also the completely obsolete notion that college is the only way and anything that get's your hands dirty is looked down upon, stigmatized. So tradesmen are earning well over 6 figures, "your plumber will drive a Porsche". Low skilled jobs should only be seen as entry positions not typically careers, require old fashion frugality to get ahead...but of course that's true at any level. Seems monetary self discipline has also been forgotten.

@LongDefiant N. Korea is what you want to sort of emulate maybe? In a society of free individuals--individuals have RESPOSIBILITY for themselves. Is that a foreign concept to you? Sure it's always a matter of degree, no such thing as "pure" anything but anyone (with ave. health and intelligence) can achieve wealth in America today or anytime in the last half century, it's just easier now than ever. You don't see a Tesla or Space X revolutionizing the entire world coming out of Nanny States, there is a high price for socialism.

@LongDefiant Don't presumptuously categorize others just to be lazy or dismissive...I don't happen to be RW, not that it matters bc the arguments stand or fall on their own merits regardless of simplistic labels. I briefly explained the most critical "systemic" problems as I see it.
