OMG--paranoid much??

@codemonkey2k5 Good GRIEF, relax. Your overcharged reaction doesn't help anything. The system is allowed by regulators and this explains partly why.

@mschribr Good point but there is more to it--1st a lag time, insurance Co.s take time to figure out and adjust, 2nd the cars can be horrendously expensive to fix in a fender bender.

Here is what we KNOW: T cars have earned the highest crash worthiness test scores of all time by government test ratings. (the 3 essentially got a 6 out of 5, or something above 5, they are going to need a higher rating system as other mfg.s will for sure also achieve similar results soon) The top rated cars on the planet for surviving a crash are the X, S and Model 3, in ascending order. NO doubt they are THE choice if safety is your priority--for now. I don't think Y ratings have be done yet but it's almost certain to be in the top 4 given T's track record. Possibly more important-- the data that I've seen says they are some 4 to 6 times less likely to get in a crash in the first place when using AP As new, limited and flawed as AP is on the way to the incredibly tough to crack autonomous, or FSD, Full Self Driving capability, it's already making cars dramatically safer. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Thanks for input, that makes total sense. (just a fanboy and stockholder here not seeking car anytime soon unless they come up with a lite service truck chassis!)

It's an example of what media has ALWAYS been, "clickbait", get over it doesn't mean the world is out to get Tesla.

Uhmm....yeah actually they do sometimes I've seen several instances of it myself. This was a properly balance short clip. Tesla has already completed it's mission statement, you can relax now.

Good related clip I just came across: https://youtu.be/2sFv4QD1Yak It's an extremely hard nut to crack, I'm happy with the progress and this endorsement from Bloomberg and regulators. If not mistaken, using Tesla on AP is some 4 to 6 times less likely to get in an accident than average car and driver ALREADY, it has some serious problems as expected but it's improving fast. As a fan and TSLA holder I love it.

@JT-xq2hv Love to hear that . "Brakes locking up" is not the point, no automatic system is going to do that without total system failure that should disable itself first, ABS would prevent it. IT can and HAS stopped or nearly stopped quickly in high speed traffic for no good reason and other alarming faults. Overall it still dramatically reduces the chances of an accident however and is evolving rapidly. I don't know when FSD becomes a reality but it will certainly dramatically improve road safety. That said I'm glad I'm still allowed to drive my own car. One day it will be illegal to manually drive on public roads, by then I'll likely be too old to care.

Your probably trolling but.... They can't possibly be that bad else 99.8% of owners wouldn't say they love the cars, and they do. Yeah they have some issues but dramatically fewer over time. Paint jobs are crap some say, they dent too easy, some of the fancy features failed in the early versions and so on, most of it was taken care of by Tesla. Have you ever driven or ridden in one? Joe Rogan (well known on YouTube) is a CAR GUY, Porches, muscle cars and such, he says his Model 3 makes all other cars seem STUPID.

They gave a nice positive report, as a fanboy and small stockholder I'm pleased...system is very new for what it's try'n to do and regulators are being sensible allowing a lot of latitude knowing it IS safer and will soon be much safer than ave. human driver.

Great to see how well it's doing and consistent with what I'm hearing from owners...very pleased with progress as fan and TSLA holder.
