( Y'all like to ignore this part) To me that says because a militia is necessary for security we need everyone armed. There was no military when they wrote this lol. You do know that right? A well regulated militia is necessary to the security of USA? Where is this well regulated militia btw? Interesting because a militia as intended when this was written 200+ years ago doesn't exist and isn't necessary anymore. Again this was written 200+ years ago, since then we've developed the most advanced wealthiest most sophisticated military on earth... Btw we have nuclear weapons also . A hypothetical militia that doesn't exist isn't necessary for protecting USA's security interest anymore. Infact all the guns are making it less secure for average person and you can't deny it when the leading cause of death for age 1-19 is literally a firearm Fyi amendments can be amended. @BERSERK263 the leading cause of death for children in USA is a gun. Second to car accidents, so how are guns not the problem? With a car you need insurance, you need to take a driver's test, a permit and you need certain amount of hours on the road before you get licensed. A gun you just need no felony and no restraining order against you. Doesn't matter if you are mentally unstable But everything perfect right? Yes it's the mentally unstable people who are the problem and they have easy access to firearms.... That's the problem duhhh. So yes guns are the issue because they are the leading cause of death for ages 1-19.
