  1. The Japanese mine-losses were caused by the always similar attack routes/courses to engage Port Arthur. The Russians remarked it and layed their mines. In the Battle of the Yellow Sea the Russian brake-out worked well. But admiral Vitgeft did not implement a command-chain in the case he himself would die in battle, what de facto had happened. The Russians missed the chance to sail to Vladivostok by wrong decisions and sailed back to Port Arthur to face desaster.
