  1. Good report. But the explanation "Polish territory" might be misleading. The Germans wanted to get back their own territory, but had not enough ammunition (6 weeks, for howitzers 2 weeks) to establish a trench warfare. So they had only 6 weeks to finish the polish army in total.

  2.  @rick7424  Yes, of course, you are funny. The Molotov-Ribbtrop-pact was signed End of August 1939. The invasion started 01.Sept 1939. This was Stalin's trick. Without it, Hitler would never had the courage to do it. The Sovjetunion invaded Poland 2 weeks later and received no declaration of war by France and Britain. Stalin was a cruel genius. But the Molotov-Rippentrop-pact was only the political event & is conclusive concerning the aim of the Germans to get "their" territories back. The stupid Kaiser himself was the idiot, who founded Poland in 1917.
