Patel was a failure, as was Sunak as Chancellor, as he is now as PM. The Tory's need to stop with the whole 'failing upwards' approach. Patel should be the absolute last person to put themselves forward as a candidate in waiting.

@1chish The current administration is hemorrhaging hardworking British taxpayer coffers, and are endorsing a low to no growth plan that will see hardworking British taxpayers screwed over for tax revenue, for at least a decade to come. They have done nothing at all to offset the global inflation crisis . How exactly is that helping the hardworking public?

What, a 40 billion shortfall spread across 4 years? Sunak, in his very first engagement abroad as PM at that daft COP 27 thingy pledged to it '50 billion' at the drop of a hat. It is evident, by any metric, that Truss's growth plan was indeed the correct plan after all.

@mike747436 The powers that should not be' evidently, as Sunak with all of his fiscal ineptitude on full display, was somehow 'parachuted in' as PM, and has gone on to continue to fail in every capacity.

@mike747436 Losing 40 billion spread over 4 years isn't a good thing, though with a viable growth plan you have a way of recovering, without one, you don't. How do you feel about Sunaks' 50 billion give away as one of his very first acts as PM, I guess you're just fine with that ?
