@SladkaPritomnost Passing genes have nothing to do with being strongest, wisest, smartest etc. Natural selection operates on principle of ,,most fit". Besides that, there are no ,,your genes" but mixture of genetical instructions carrying on trough generations. From biological perspective, humans are just vessels or a host to their genetical makeup, not the original owners and creators as such.
*Don't look at nature by human eyes. The nature doesn't care.*
Humans are by very definition part of nature. And exactly as you said, that nature does not care, only we do, as humans. So why should I care about some personified nature?

@Rob46373 *having children is a duty, we need to do it for our nation, our race, our specie to keep existing and evolving in this world.* - thats exactly what being selfish really means. For some reason you are already deluding yourself that its namely your kid(s) who are ensuring the continuation of species, despite the fact that people will keep popping out kids anyway. The only actual reason why people are having kids is cause of utter selfishness, ego desires, narcistic tendencies to ,,leave behind a legacy" , to mold someone to looks like you, to ensure your symbolic immortality.
