  1. Being a child of immigrant parents from Kenya, and being born in Kenya myself although spending my whole life in the US, I was always exposed to Swahili and the tribal language of Kikuyu. I cant fluently speak either of those languages, but growing up hearing them all the time you learn to identify words and their associations a little. Imo German is my favorite language. I spent a year and half in Kenya in 2012 and took a German class. But that was so long ago I’ve forgotten most of it.
