The charges were obviously applied politically to stop more riots in an already destroyed community. As used in this section, a "person of ordinary self-control" does not include a person under the influence of intoxicants or a controlled substance.

  4.  @NA-hl6nx  Not all his fault but he has some degree of responsibility, though he has paid the ultimate price for his indiscretions. When ever you tussle with armed law enforcement, there is always risk of human error or overreacting.

The maximum charge for negligent manslaughter s 4 years . The maximum charge for 1st degree manslaughter is 15 years. I see her actions are those of someone who is incompetent and I don’t see her as a threat to anyone else. To me this suggests the charges have been exaggerated for political reasons. Being we see riots every time part of this community doesn’t like the results without accountability shows We are no longer looking for justice but revenge against police and this individual is being persecuted for more than Her incompetence.

  7. I think the charges should have been negligent homicide and not the harsher 1st degree manslaughter. Maybe a year at max for jail just so that we keep it real and hold people accountable. Though she could have just been given probation because there is absolutely no risk of her harming anyone else.
