  2.  @nick21501  While I am not for the mandate in anything but healthcare. Your claim that the vaccine will do nothing to slow COVID transmission is just flat out wrong. Reduced infection, impedes transmission.

  3.  @jonasp6043  That’s true and they should get vaccinated but we don’t force people to get medical procedures to save them from Other maladies. And there are other ways around lowering transmission, besides vaccine mandates.

  4.  @jonasp6043  1. Mandated firings have never been done before. Past mandates were always through civil penalty. 2. Construction safety equipment, is not a medical procedure, nor are seatbelts or any other safety equipment. 3. While I agree that vaccines would tend to lower transmission rates though I am uncertain to what degree, I also agree that Certain professions, as in the healthcare field should require vaccines, I just don’t think the risk is there for other professionals And can be managed with temperature checks and masks when entering into homes. I could be convinced to change my mind and we will see if the mandate makes any kind of difference in NYC. I have been informing myself on this virus for the past 18 months and listening to a Dr. Micheal Osterholm. One of the few honest immunologist IMHO, one who has pretty much predicted the progression of this disease. Who also is not big on mandates beyond the healthcare industry.
