We're causing it. We have to fix it before it's too late.

I don't much care what you say about the meat industry. You can't live without animals. They have made our soil and enriched our health, brought us out of the trees. We need them more and more. Without them our land will is turning to sand.

The fact is (and you'll never get away from this fact) that you'll have to cut the world population in the end. We cannot simply continue to breed like rabbits.

@paulsz6194 Chickens are much cheaper and we get eggs as well. They're worth their weight in gold.

We can't keep breeding like rabbits. Too many people are still having more than five children per couple. This cannot continue.

People keep saying that the population is not exploding out of control but people are still having more than five or six children and in the poorer countries like in many African countries they never seem to stop. We can't continue to feed more and more people. In sixty years we have added more than six billion people to the planet. We cannot continue to do this.

We're doing the damage. We have to fix it.

So you don't mind the idea of that land being wiped out by pesticides, herbicides and fungicides etc., all the time. Billions of tons of it on the land every year all over the planet now. It's been going on now for fifty years. That's the reason we're losing all the soil. Animals made the soil and now, they're being removed from the land to grow junk food.

The trouble with the potential of the plant like sugar beet is it's killing the population. Our soil can't take the pounding from the chemicals.

Spending all that money to manufacture chemicals and drugs don't make sense to me. Drugs, for the most part don't heal, they just make people sicker and then more drugs are used to compensate for the previous ones given, and the vicious cycle continues.

The painful truth is, it's time we started to cultivate our own breeding. We can't keep breeding like rabbits. It's time we seriousely started thinking like the Chinese when they had their "One Child Policy" Whether we like it or not, it made them rich and so far it's done them little harm. It took them thirty years to from rags to riches. OK, they did it in, not a good way but we can do it more carefully and more saftely but it must be done. We just don't have to do it under a red flag. If we don't do it soon however we're going to end up starving and poor they way the Chinese were.

We've got to stop breeding like bloody rabbits let alone coming back to do it again.

Now I do see logic in the flies, chickens and ducks etc., would have a field day eating those. It's better for the fowl and it's much closer to the normal foods they would eat.
