  1. Dear friends from the UK, I want to hear your opinion about the queen and royal family. I have seen British people bashing the royal family and people who defend them. Do UK citizens still want to keep the monarchy?

  2. milk I don't understand why the royal family is the keystone of British patriotism. Britain is a democracy with remarkable culture and history, and I think THAT should be the resource of its patriotism. Royal family is just a part of its culture, but it does not symbolize everything of the UK. If British want to keep them because they attract tourists, why they still have so much wealth and influence. Japan has a royal family, too but they seem much more low profile than British royal family.
