  1. Great info and good tips Alec. A high power (AC) drawing tons of power is how I found out whoever installed the thing forgot to firmly attach and screw the entire line on the switchboard at my mom's. Because the switch blew out. Didn't just trip, thing was so violent it melted the switch's protective cover with a loud bang, perhaps it arced directly to the ground plane. And with that I also found out that the entire switchboard was just entirely lose inside the drywall space with a single screw holding it. Brand new apartment building too, you have all sorts of very amateur sh*t jobs done in them around here, unfortunately.
