  2. With the strike affecting so much more people. Hope they don’t stay on strike till 2024. You got carpenters, electrical, painters, set designers, wardrobes, props, editors, audio, camera, graphics, other IATSE IBEW unions and crafts crews.

  9. @@49ersfan834 They don’t all get millions when they start. Doing commercials, music videos, be extras, voice actors and comedians work isn’t consistently enough so they have other jobs. When they’re in a hit sitcom or movie their agent can negotiate better. SAG/AFTRA want residuals for streaming. Just like tv shows reruns and videos/dvd. When it airs again they get paid on a smaller scale. Producers, directors, writers etc gets residual checks. Some stop acting by choice or can’t get the part. Not everyone works till they’re 80. Residuals checks helps a little income. Sometimes it’s a dollar.

  12. They want residual income for tv shows and movies viewed streaming. No one going to the theaters? That’s fine. Right now more people will be streaming which they want to get paid for like the producers, directors, writers etc.
