Time for a villain's origin story.

If Halsey and Admiral Horatio Nelson of Britain lived during the same time and commanded ships against each other, who would win?
4
Speaking of Canada, has this channel ever covered any Canadian Prime Ministers?
4
Could we please have a video of the Nez Pierce Chief Joseph, who won 28 battles in a row against the U.S. army until finally admitting defeat?

A video on British Admiral Thomas Chronchan, would be appreciated. His story has been portrayed in the film "Master and Command".
4
This guy deserves to have his own dollar bill!
4
Erich Hartmann may have fought for the wrong side but learning about his contributions are totally worth it for advancing the tactics of aviation. I hate that certain historical figures cant be talked about merely because they are deemed irredeemable. Learning from history's baddest villains is not the same as admiring them.
4
@gouken8926 its actually a good show if you can get past season one
4
So basically, Bran Stark the Builder, from Game of Thrones was based off of Emperor Hadrian.
4
@Slayer12349 he also murdered Armenians and Greeks
4
My mom used to say, "if you look up to a loser, you'll become a loser."
4
Though Johnny Depp looked nothing like the dude he was acting, I still picture Depp's face whenever I hear "John Dilinger".
4

4
cool
4
@MatthewChenault sounds like something a Southerner would argue for
4
Lee Kuan, reminds me of the American founding father, Benjamin Franklin, who once remarked that he would rather be part of a rigged republic, where only the smartest and most informed govern then be ruled by a genuine democracy because, "in genuine democracies, the dim witted, poor, and uneducated control the vote".
4
Booth failed acting, Hitler failed art, and Stalin failed school, I feel like all the horrible killers in history have petty peeves.
3
How about Napoleon?
3
Nobody thinks this was a set up? Been reading "Killing Lincolhn"
3
Please cover some British or Canadian Prime Ministers!
3
Didn't realize how Asian looking the people of Madagascar are before watching this.
3
Did you enjoy Mel Gibson's portayal of him in "The Patriot"?
3
Chiang was no ideal Christian. He murdered people he didn't like and forbid democracy
3
The dude was a fascist
3
@curtisthomas2670 cool
3
Doug Parker yep
3
He turned over protestants who disagreed with him over petty things like communion to the Catholic iniquisition.
3
I wonder if she would have had a formal career in politics if the rules were different back then.
3
A female conservative prime minister, that's progressive.
3
I appreciate Simon covering American Presidents but I would like coverage on other heads of states. Britain has a bunch of interesting prime ministers who impacted history. Nearly every Israeli prime minister has some impressive military record. Zambia once had a white prime minister that's not widely known. Bolivia's only indigeounous president hasn't been covered. Egypt has had a few presidents that were major players in the Cold War. And not all of the Soviet Union's dictators have been covered yet.
3
I think he did cover Gotti
3
@maxcohen9639 he's British. His last name is Whistle, which is English. He moved to Czech Republic due to more economic opportunities.
3
I've never heard of the Donner party until now. Thanks for teaching something new.
3
I'm not familiar with UK accents, but I think Simon speaks with a Belfast accent.
3
@stefanavic6630 correct!
3
I can hear the "The Phony King of England" by Disney in my head.
3
I didn't know before that the Father of Mexico was a white guy.
3
Cook fact, O'Toole was actually a foot taller than the real Lawrence whom he portrayed in the movie adaptation.
3
I feel sorry for the guy
3
me either
3
Cool fact, the Apaches were the only Native Americans to utilize Semi-automatic pistols, TNT, and handmade gasoline grenades against the US Army. And the last Apache resistence didn't surrender until 1902.
3
How about Hiryro Miyozaaki?
