  1. Israel surviving its first war against the Arabs had a huge impact on Americans. Before this war, 80% of Americans were Anti-Semetic this all changed after Israel survived. Being predominately Christian majority nation, many Americans intrepreted that event as their God having protected Israel. If God protected Israel, under such rationalization American Christians then should help protect Israel too.
