  1. I think it is implied that if US has a stake in Ukraine (mineral right), they would protect their investment in the future. For US to keep sending aid without any stake in the war that would be perpetually ongoing will not work with the current administration's purpose to cut debt and balance the 'checkbook.' The whole exchange for me seemed either staged or something real...I've never seen deals being discussed in front of journalists before. I do appreciate the transparency assuming that there's not danger to national security.

  2.  @urvanhroboatos8044  I think they should raise it to 100% if they can. I saw the BBC article from 2 days ago-- right now that US is still the top donator of the Ukraine-Russia war. I don't care about the whole exchange, it felt very....'off' imo, the argument, but still yeah, EU has more stakes than US in this war because they're neighboring countries. I'm not saying that US should pull out all aid though, but the current government seems to aim lessening our crippling debt and balancing their check book (that's why they're so aggressive using DOGE and firing a LOT of federal workers)...to be sending $$ and weapons to a foreign country without financial benefit seems to not align with current administration's purpose.
