  1. Agreed. I do blame most of the squalor on dad, but defendant also lived in that house and she chose to live with him. I mean, heck, her mother was around/living/breathing and allegedly not abusive, why not go to her if dad was so horrible/drunken of a person? I don't think he deserves to be maimed just because of his addiction. I have had family members deal with addiction and it was HARD to not get so mad at them (esp. after they stole, gave false identification to LE (using your name), scam, etc), but I never once tried to kill/maim them when they're 'out' (high). All you can do is just put a lot of distance or going no contact, not harm/maim/murder....
