  1. I always had the feeling UK is the worst in terms of government overreach actually in Europe. Nowhere else did I have to submit ideological statements or disclose my sexual orientation or what I consider to be my "race" (whatever that is) to my employer but in UK universities this is normal even in STEM fields.
