BREAKING: A bipartisan bill was introduced that would block members of Congress from getting paid if the U.S. enters debt default or if the government shuts down. The No Pay for Congress During Default or Shutdown Act, introduced by Reps. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), would withhold lawmakers' pay for the duration of a debt limit breach or lapse in federal funding, an attempt to motivate legislators to prevent either situation. The bill comes amid growing fears that Republicans will not agree to meet the June 1 deadline set by the Treasury Department to raise the debt limit and risk a catastrophic default on U.S. obligations. “Lawmakers should not be rewarded with our salaries until we do our jobs," Spanberger said. What are your thoughts? Should it pass?

Former Speaker Paul Ryan: "I think leaders should endeavor to be honest, ethical, moral people...Donald Trump doesn't try to do any of that. He does the opposite quite frankly."

Just announced: 65% of Americans, nearly two-thirds of U.S. adults, say the way the president is elected should be changed so that the winner of the popular vote nationwide wins the presidency. Most Americans do not like the current Electoral College system.

For the past 40 years, worker power has been dismantled, piece by piece. But make no mistake: Workers are fighting back. Just look at the @UAW strike. Workers are building a world where they have power again, and they're getting help from the pro-union policies of Pres. Biden.

Republicans don't like using the word "PRO-LIFE" anymore....I wonder why?? lol!!! bwahahahahahaha!!!

Turned on MSNBC just now. The first person to appear on the screen implied that the DOJ wasn't investigating Donald Trump until after the January 6th hearings aired – a false claim that's very easily disproven. Turned off MSNBC. It's just a series of dramatic false narratives.

Biden joining the UAW picket line today is a big deal. But he must not stop there. If he and other Democrats don’t tell the economic truth about what’s happened to workers in America and place the blame squarely where it’s deserved, the lies of Republicans will fill the void.

The media’s obsession with “balanced coverage” of Trump is nonsense. It's not only misleading, but it's legitimizing the forces that are openly hostile to the future of our democracy. Don't fall for the "both sides" BS.

BREAKING: Judge Arthur Engoron in Manhattan has just ruled that Donald Trump and his company, Trump Org, are LIABLE for unsavory business practices and and has proceeded to cancel his business certificates. The judge ruled that Trump made 'false and misleading valuations' for real estate assets over years. The Judge also ruled for the dissolution of the corporations that he cancelled business certificates for. And you still think this guy should be president?

Turned on MSNBC. The very first person on the screen said we should all be “freaked out” right now. Turned off MSNBC. Same old emotional manipulation as ever.

Trump’s very name will become synonymous with deceit and treachery and treason. His oath breaking abdication and malfeasance and cowardice will echo throughout eternity.

The effects of a government shutdown are not theoretical. They have real consequences that can be measured, quantified, and far-reaching. A shutdown will harm millions.
