Despite taking heat for a conflict he did not create, President Biden has not been grandstanding or saying “he alone can fix it.” Instead, he has quietly and humbly continued to collaborate with Qatar, Egypt, and Israel to help secure the release of hostages, and we have begun to see the results of these negotiations. Biden: “We have to end the cycle of violence in the Middle East. We need to renew our resolve to pursue this two-state solution where Israelis and Palestinians can one day live side by side.” I am prouder than ever to see our President continue to lead the efforts to attain peace in a region that has been a hotbed of conflict for hundreds of years.
