Former Republican Chair Michael Steele didn't hold back in his condemnation of Marjorie Taylor Greene, who suggested that stepmothers weren't real mothers. Steele's words were nothing short of scathing: "She needs to shut the you-know-what up and step back," he said.
But Steele wasn't done yet. He hit Greene with a devastating blow, reminding her that even Jesus was raised by a stepfather. "I just want to say directly to Marjorie Taylor Greene, you remember that little boy named Jesus? Well, his daddy was a stepdad," Steele said.
Greene's remarks had already sparked outrage, but Steele's words took things to a whole new level. As an adopted child himself, he was deeply offended by her dehumanizing comments. "For me, my party that sat here and railed for years about the value of the family, to watch this classless act, and these classless words being thrown at someone, because you disagree with them politically," Steele commented on MSNBC.
Greene's behavior was nothing short of disgraceful, and Steele's words were a powerful reminder that such dehumanizing rhetoric has no place in the United States Congress. Thank you, Michael Steele, for speaking out against this appalling behavior.
