  2.  @George-iv1hi  no, more likely they were taken advantage of. Like the Kurds with Erdogan, years of oppressing of Kurds by the secular CHP (ataturks party) called people for a new political landscape. Erdogan, a muslim brotherhood member, filled the gap promising equal rights. He started very left, but because of alot of problems, he became extremely right and is now a dictator. Now we are back at the start.
