I think that they would be fine with that since you mentioned the word god. They are always willing to obey the j god blindly which often seems to be some priest.

Well, there are people who are against putting end to a life who is suffering, bedridden 24 h a day, all year long. When it happens to them, suddenly, they understand that it is a horrible situation to be in and they change their minds. I do think that religion prevents people from having empathy. It is one of the reasons why there are billions of people who read the Adam and Eve story and don't have any moral objections to it. They are not moral agents since they don't know what moral means. They think moral means to just obey whatever a god/priest says.

@bethanynelson8489 I would imagine that if a super intelligent being gave someone a brain, he would make them all geniuses like himself. Yes, we all like to think that we were made by an intelligence rather than being made by a brainless natural world. And if all life is precious, then that super intelligence would himself do something to save lives.

@williamhutton2126 That is quite possible. Maybe it has to do with upbringing. Maybe they had a rough life and had to become an adult early. Some people often yell at their kids. It is as if they don't want the kid at all. I wonder if it is the cycle of abuse that creates such people.

Unfortunately, a lot of humans have that problem. There was the Salem witch trials. Everyone was pointing a finger, accusing each other. Eventually, some of the finger pointers were accused and they were hanged. One of the guys was named Cotton Mathers. When his wife was accused, he went along with it and he accused his wife as well and they hanged her. He was very sure she was a witch. Eventually someone accused him and suddenly, this guy woke up and realized that they are probably hanging innocent people. I think Cotton Mathers survived.
