There are 2 types of treatments that I am aware of: 1. Chemiotherapy: These are poisons that target cancer cells. The cancer cells gobble them up and it messes them up. Normal cells also absorb the poison but at a slower rate. Once the cancer cells are dead, they stop chemiotherapy since you are cured. 2. Radiotherapy: gamma rays are used to cause mutations in cancer cells and hopefully, they get killed off. This treatment was the first to be developed. Doctors had test tubes with RaCl2. They would place them on the right spot on the patient. Unfortunately, the doctors would carry the tubes in their shirts and get radiation burns and cancer eventually.

@Solmaz_S : It's nice that you hate homeopathy. I hate it as well since it is quackery. It comes from the dark ages of science (early 19th century). Chemistry advanced, biochemistry has been established, medicine has advanced. Homeopathy is obviously crap. The only people in support of it have very little science education. They try to make excuses like "Big Pharma and government is against them". The reality is that university researches for about 150 y from all over the world have established how reality operates. Homeopaths are living in a world of fantasy (water having memory).

My experience has been that all gods are silent and reading about various religions gives me the impression that it doesn't come from ultra-hyper-mega intelligent beings. I have to give a thumbs down to all of them. Also, god is a none sense word since it is many things to many people. On the other hand, we all know what a chair is. So, I do believe in chairs. I am a chair-ist.

Modern medicine pushed aside homeopathy in the 18xxs as people understood that lifeforms are just chemical machine. Cells are chemical machines. Example: If you discover a chemical that can harm a bacteria and not the human cells, then you have a potential antibiotic. Another example: Vaccines are a another class of treatment. The idea is to give the body a damaged form of a virus. The virus doesn't function and the white blood cells have the time to e to detect it and learn it. When someone gets infected by a functional virus, the white blood cells attack it quickly. ^^^^^^All that is based on chemistry. Homeopathy uses some random chemical based on the notion of symptoms. The stuff is just water.

There isn't going to be a single cure unless you can identify a common feature between all cancers and if you can use that feature to destroy the cancer cells. A common cure would be radiation therapy. It works if the cancer cells lost their ability to repair the mutations. Unfortunately, the mutations caused by radiation is random and they also cause mutations in normal cells. Some years ago I had heard that some surface protein has been either found to be present or lacking for all cancer cells. I don't know what happened to that research.

@sorryifoldcomment8596 I don't know. I was simply explaining what is understood by the medical community but apparently, some people disagree with them. It seems as if whenever I write something, some clowns want to start an argument with me. At one point, I posted on a chemistry channel. It was about this copper mercury alloy and how it is used to scam people in India. It is called parad shivlinga. Some clown started an argument with me so after a while I asked him to come to a forum and to talk to some professional chemists. He declined. @SS-kb1vr I think I have already explained to someone else. There is a huge number of diseases. Maybe over 100,000. The symptoms from a lot of them are similar, so it is difficult for a doctor to identify the problem. Also, there are no cures most of the time. Some things are a matter of probability: the drug or treatment works for some but not others. There is no reason to not fix people. People always get sick just like people will always go to the dentist, plumber, car mechanic.

@denarto1920 That’s true. In some cases, our immune system can recognize cancer cells and can destroy the cancer cells. Homeopathy has been discredited. Like cures like doesn’t make any sense. And reducing the amount of drug to 1 molecule that you swallow is certainly not going to work.
