Not the best example but pirate life was a culture.

Stan the guy who generalized all black people? Ew.
54
@Lucmüncheow yeah see language belongs to everybody and it's racist to claim that all races don't have equal rights to a word. Imo nobody should say it bc its a slur but it's racist to say only specific races can say specific things without it being "wrong".
39
@nintenko6067 according to the definition of racism you can.
37
@lolpop-px8xj so are you assuming/stating that not even a single white person every is racially discriminated against? If you are then I would say that's a pretty ignorant take.
37
The Irish guy also generalized all black people so that wasn't that great.
37
@marstakes3230 pfft you acting like you can decide for others what they feel proud for😂
34
@tyyteeeinreallife6955 the hypocrisy of what you just said lol
33
The "Irish" guy automatically failed right away when he claimed that all black people all over the world experience the same things but claimed that all white people don't. Not every black person feels discriminated against or just feels the same thing as the next black person whether it's discrimination or anything else.
26
That's a take that should be taken with a grain of salt.
22
The definition of racism proves you wrong.
21
It's really sad how badly so many people want to okay the oppression olympics. Oppression is still oppression, racism is still racism, bullying is still bullying no matter what the person's race or ethnicity is. Focusing on who's suffered more to try and say the others suffering isn't as bad is very asinine and irrelevant if you actually care about ending racism, bullying, oppression etc. All you do when you play the oppression olympics is avoid fixing the real problem and instead you help create division amongst people smh.
17
@randomfandomfan5080 I'll listen to definitions to define words, not "theory".
16
@lornam1142 you can be racist against your own race so that's kind of irrelevant
14
@ayo123 the definition of racism doesn't exclude any race from being the victim of racism even in today's society.
13
@marstakes3230 that's marketing not forcing people to buy and use products let alone "forcing them to idolize" a skin type.
12
@Therealamirinicole racial Prejudice is racism, do your research
12
@marstakes3230 nobody was really forced to "idolize" any type of skin.
11
@yvesstarr3563 So you feel the definition of the word racism is incorrect?
9
You don't speak for all black people though so you cannot for a fact prove that all black people make music for the reasons you say that they do.
9
He seemed really condescending and came off as if he felt morally superior to the others imo.
9
@randomblackperson9209 that's your subjective opinion, not fact though. Low-key racist to say the context is different simply bc of ones race since race doesn't decide personality, behavior etc.
9
You just proved yourself wrong.
8
Didn't know generalizing a whole race like the Irish guy did would make you hold them to your heart but whatever floats your boat.
8
@evermoredany some of these people in the video do though
8
@mariagabriellypereirarosa according to you then if someone is called a slur then that is not racism because that is by definition interpersonal racism because the definition of interpersonal is communication between people and interpersonal racism would be racist communication between people but like I said according to you that doesn't exist so calling someone a racial slur isn't racist to you, by your logic of course.
8
@ol5868 I'm glad you as a white person personally have not experienced it. Nobody should experience racism in a perfect world.
7
@leftrightgn facts
7
If you "tease" because of their race/based on their race then that is racism.
7
Not a fan of the Irish guy since he clearly didn't know the definition of culture despite acting so haughty about it and he generalized all black people at the very beginning of the video
7
Being a pirate is a way of life and culture is ones customs aka a way of life.
7
Yep he's just trying to be a white savior but as many white saviors do they just make mistakes and he just ended up generalizing all black people
7
Ngl That's pretty racist.
7
@k.c7655 lots is wrong with them
7
I'm still waiting to see great outlash against the extremely racist members of blm. Like dang.
7
@Therealamirinicole a racist trying to lecture me on racism. That's rich😂
7
Ironically you are one of the people that do not understand racism. Racism does not imply a system. I highly suggest you go look up the definition in the dictionary. Racism first and foremost is about feeling Superior or believing any particular race is Superior or inferior to another. Racism is also about not treating all Races equally. There is such a thing as systemic racism but systemic racism is not the only definition of racism. You can 100% be racist against a white person. To believe you cannot be racist against a white person is in and of itself racist which seems to be the road you're going down.
7
@randomblackperson9209 I love how you point out that it has been used by white people and other non black people to insult them yet completely avoid mentioning how black people have used it to insult other black people
7
That's opinion, not fact.
6
It's embarrassing that you don't know the definitions of words yet say stuff like this.
6
@BrokenSword1978 there's more to the definition of racism buddy
6
@lolamarie441 that's fair enough. If we have different viewpoints the definition of racism then yes we will definitely disagree on some things and won't necessarily be able to see eye-to-eye but at least we were able to respectfully disagree with each other which is something that doesn't happen often on topics like this given today's climate.
6
@CC-nl6ns systemic racism isn't the only kind of racism though
6
Tell me you only think about America without telling me you only think about America
6
Not sure why you would want to say that you are proud to be irrational but off you go I guess.
6
The way you assume they're all non black is weird
6
@craigweston9141 Many people in the comment section aren't questioning him either which is pretty sad.
6
@Jake--be2jv maybe not in America but in other places it can but that's even the point. Being racist is still being racist and we shouldn't be playing the oppression olympics.
6
Says the person making a bigoted comment lol.
6
Seems like it.
