  4. I noticed it too! The first Christians in Japan were Catholics and they were persecuted but proved resilient and prevailed up to this day. A good follow up video could be called “Being Catholic Christian in Japan”! 😁

You seem to paint an image of Catholicism as a political conspiracy bent on colonizing old Japan. It was a time when missionaries were already enlightened not to use violence in winning converts. Unlike the earlier conversion of south american peoples when conquistadores went with missionaries, missionaries who went to Japan were not supported officially by European monarchs. Thus, your claim is definitely unfounded.

  7. Totally agree! Moreover, it should be shown to young girls. Studios target them when they are so gullible: easily deceived by affection, luring them with large cash, pep-talks that sex is trivial, etc.

  8.  @YourOnlyHero  Exactly! And it also boils down to how Japanese mindset view sex as either for entertainment or for continuing one’s progeny. Traditional Japanese men think it’s ok to go to a woman for entertainment while being married to another one. Only in Japan one can buy adult magazines from convenience stores, one can see old Japanese men reading adult magazines in public. As long as this mindset persists in Japan, j.a.v. industry will exist unfortunately.

  11. Imho, it’s understandable in Japan’s case. Japanese mindset is immersed in the Shintoist philosophy that sex is neither moral nor immoral. No wonder Japan’s sex industry and the related JAV industry are professionally and systematically done. But we are in a globalized era now. Other philosophies and cultures interact with one another. Christianity and the Christian philosophy it proposes gives another way at looking at sex and women: a mindset that upholds women’s dignity and the sacredness of sex.

  12. Broken families, whether single dads or single moms, are hard and difficult situations. But men are much stronger mentally and physically compared to women, in general. By numbers, single dads are lesser than single moms. Single dads should be given help too without prejudice to single moms. I.m.o, equality in misery is not gender equality. Great social vlog! 👍

Being one of the major Christian sects/denominations in Japan and for a more balanced view of Christianity, I strongly suggest to visit Nagasaki, Japan, where there are many Catholics.   19.  @uiopy1  I totally understand where your response is coming from. Unrequited love is really painful. But the correct way to understand LOVE must be settled first. To LOVE is to will the good of the other person, to love is to give, more than to receive. Of course, it is easier said than done. Many real human relationships fall short from that ideal. But for a relationship to reach that ideal requires so much work from both partners. It should be a work in progress, something both partners have to work and strive for. And both partners should welcome all the help they could get from people around them and from God to make their relationship come closer to the ideal one.

  28. School rules that reinforce Modesty like skirt length should cover the knees, haircuts and others are alright, imo. Restricting ponytails and hair color seem too much. It seems draconian. From what I observe from a distance, I find it preposterous to allow wearing of mini skirts but put restrictions on ponytails, hair color and underwear color. I really don’t think it is proper.

  30.  PuraguCryostato  Totally agree, I stand corrected. “Denomination” should be the other term used. But in today’s usage “sect” and “denomination” are synonymous now. It’s also a fact, Catholic Christian is the original group. Those persecuted in old Japan were Catholics. Those who were killed in a-bombing Nagasaki were Catholics as well. Other Christian denominations came with the US occupation after WW2. Despite all these, Japanese Catholics are thriving. Once again, I highly suggest the follow up video: “Being Catholic Christian in Japan”.

  31. Prostitution is legal in Japan ever since ancient times. It was during the US occupation after WW2, American military administrators dictated to the Japanese government to pass a law declaring it illegal. Japanese lawmakers followed the order but composed the texts of the law with so many loopholes. The status quo preserved with new labels. It’s deeply ingrained in Shinto Japan that sex is man’s entertainment first and reproductive second. No wonder, they have low birth rate problems these days.

In other countries, they view having a child as a decision of three persons: wife, husband and God. In those countries, they pray to the Divine Creator, source of all life, for a successful pregnancy. It’s indeed a very sad experience to have a miscarriage. Perhaps, the “third person” involved is not willing it. Let’s pray more.

It’s actually the Japanese warlords who interpreted the presence of the missionaries, and the impact they were making with the people, with a political “lens”.

Have you tried going to Sophia University, Tokyo, to find a Japanese Catholic Christian? For me, Japanese version of Christianity is very shallow, superficial and just skin-deep. As such, it engenders some paradoxes like Imari Tones music. If you actually missed to interview a Japanese Catholic Christian, that would be a good follow-up video: "Being Catholic Christian in Japan"!

I agree with her, less religiosity has a lot to do with why cheating is more common in Japan. I also heard a mother advising her daughter to find a husband who is religious or at least God-fearing, because these are less likely to cheat. 2:07 Foreigners (who want to play around too) will welcome that. They also want to try it out, too. They will dispose the Japanese girls after enjoying.

  49. 6:50. This guy says the root cause. Loveless marriages stem from the ancient mindset on the marital act as having a dual purpose that can be totally separate: procreative and artistic. In some western societies the marital act is taught as a sign of total love when united to procreation.
