@vorynrosethorn903 I tend to believe scholarship grants to poor but deserving smart youth is one of the ways to distribute wealth equitably. Though, wealth is already well distributed in Japan - one of the legacies of the post-war US occupation - there’s still economic poverty in the country. But the root of the problem is more than economic. It’s pagan tradition partly based on Shinto and Buddhism is one of the contributors to low gender inequality leading to situations such as a large prostitution industry. It may appear the country is heavily influenced by the Christian west, after the US occupation in the 50s, but it’s impact is merely material, external, superficial and skin-deep. Deep down in the culture, tradition is still a major influence. I do hope in the future, with work of Christians living there, Gospel values would slowly reform the misogynistic features of their traditions and culture.

Great video! 👍 How about a vlog episode on College Education in Japan? It’s reported scholarship funds are few for poor but deserving students.

@HaxStudio It’s actually illegal in Japan’s laws. But due to loopholes in the law, it’s allowed and practiced widely giving outlet to their ancient custom that also gave rise to the wartime comfort women.

Definitely! A socialized tuition fee based on parents’ income, giving more to low-income families, and more full scholarships for poor and smarter ones would be a big help. Sadly, this “service” has a huge local demand. It comes from ancient pagan customs that also brought to the world the wartime comfort women. Ancient customs persistent up to this day and age.

Controversial topic! 300K working in this industry?!? Quite a big number! Most probably due to big local demand. So organized crime groups go about setting up the supply. Most likely, this local demand is remnants of ancient pagan customs, that also gave the world the wartime comfort women, despite being westernized in the 21st century. I.m.o., this is one of the factors driving down the birth rate in that country, unfortunately.

Actually, prostitution is prohibited in Japan’s legal system. But the law was crafted with loopholes. The law was enacted to satisfy American occupiers’ wishes. Though it’s illegal, in practice it’s allowed due to a huge local demand. Most probably, the vestiges of ancient pagan habits, that also brought about WW2 comfort women, still persisting up to this day. The supply come consequently thanks to enterprising organized crime groups. 😆

Most probably, these women are just being politically correct and euphemistic of their job. Also, it demonstrates the dual meaning of s** in Japanese mindset, beginning with older men and then the affected women. The two mutually exclusive use of s** in the mind of a Japanese are "for entertainment" and "for continuing one's progeny", i.m.o. This will further aggravate the low birth rate in Japan, sadly.

@vorynrosethorn903 Apparently so! Japan has been open to western ideas specially during the postwar era. These western ideas include gender equality. Those that contradict western values but are part of their ancient tradition esp in the area on gender equality are conveniently and politely overlooked. True gender inequality as envisioned by the founder of Christianity has not fully taken root in the culture. So much is still to be done.
