Great episode!
Here are my thoughts:
0:51 "Changing job is bad" - tbh, staying longer in a job/company used to be an indicator of good performance and being a good team-player in one Asian country. But with the advent of internet technology and the rise of new types of work and professions, this has become a minor thing in that Asian country. Frequent job change has become a mark of professional marketability and flexibility.
1:58 "Divorce is bad" - imo, I'm glad divorce is still viewed as such by convention. Divorce is not a solution to marital problems.
3:15 "Nominification is necessary" - I agree, forcing people to drink when they want to be with their family is not a healthy custom. This belief is just part of a much more toxic belief: "the boss is always right".
5:10 "The longer you work, the better" - I agree, looking down at people who wants to prioritize their family over work is doing great damage to Japanese society. Needless overtime work is indeed unhealthy mentally, socially and physically.
6:33 "Just apologize first for anything" - I agree, Nobita-san's teacher's advice is bad counsel. Unreasonable apologizing is hypocritical and deceiving.
Imo, there are other toxic beliefs that should be done away with, especially those connected to family and marital relationships, that is causing the massive decline in population.
