  1. I'm glad your home and safe. I love the respect you have for other soldiers and their wars. My generation knows the impact you and your fellow soldiers made. I am grateful for the safety your gave & still give to us. The world is a better place because of your bravery and selflessness. We will never meet but just know that your are loved, admired and revered by many!!!

  2. Beautiful, gentleman - I am so glad you got the chance to meet, intergenerational comraderie over a shared nightmare that is war, shows us all something. It was wonderful to watch 2 strangers have respect for each other instantly and the kind and generous way you each shared and were vulnerable whilst also propping up the other - Thank you, you buggars made me tear up but thank you!!

  3. Sir I am so grateful that you had your grandfather - I am so grateful that you were able to share his story with your family. I am so grateful that you are the man you are, both born and made that your give the rest of us a chance to live and have children & grandchildren because you were brave and selfless enough to stand up for us. I am glad that it sounds like you are doing better now and I hope that every single day you just keep feeling happier and free'er as you have allowed me to do. We will never meet but you are loved, honoured and there are best wishes and prayers surrounding you all the days of your life!!

  4. I am sorry for the pain this still causes you but I am sure that knowing he was safe for a time surrounded by a housemate who cared would've been hugely comforting to him. He is safe and free and calm now. He is probably also aware that you visit his grave but I would hope you are now able to do so with a better mindset. He taught you alot and he would want you to live a good life, he went to war for you to have that opportunity so honour him and enjoy life, maybe do something frivolous or ridiculously immature, something that makes you laugh out loud or better yet snort beer out your nose in his name - you are a good fulla and you deserve to be happy!

  5. Thank you Sir for having the bravery and the selflessness to stand up for the rest of us. Thank you to your grandfather for the same reason. I for one am glad that I can live in a safer world because of your efforts. I will always be grateful to you and send my best wishes and heartfelt gratitude to you and your fellow soldiers for giving me the safe life I have with my children. Much love
