The lack of emergency preparedness in my state by my fellow Texans is very concerning. I live in an upper middle class area and on the Nextdoor app my neighbors are saying they don’t have food, gas, firewood, blankets, the ability to cook food without electricity, a saw to get wood. These are the basics of survival preparedness. We have been in a pandemic for a year now, what have people been doing with their money? It’s only been three days and thousands of people are at risk for death.
