This man did it right! GO live cheap then save up then live that life you wanted to enjoy as you now have the security to do so. Also for those of us that are retired and have pensions or other means of income, this is the best way to secure a future where you can live from dividends from your investments. What this feels like? Say you have to go home for a funeral. Being able to just buy the first ticket without flinching then also having money left over to stay in the west for a while without even thinking about it is true financial freedom.

That burning of the crops keeps the soil fresh and living. That's what farmers use to do in order to put nitrogen rich soil back in and nutrients for the plants. That's not smog per say, and its not great to breath in by the buckets, but its rather safe compared to huffing in HOC's and other mess. That's how Nature does it with Lightning storms.

I looked at those devices that have all this stuff programmed on board and I was actually really impressed by it. It doesn't mean internet connection so that's kind of cool but it does look up to your phone for updates and so forth if it needs it

@ElJefe0719 Vietnam has some of the best values along with other places around. Strangely, Malaysia might be right for me as I know at least one of the locally spoken languages well enough to converse with people.

This is odd to me. I live in Portland Oregon. Sure we have some HORRIBLE places around here in the Metro Area, but I'm not a Poor Fig. So I don't even notice much of it. Hell this morning I was drinking a Reisling for breakfast and enjoyed that at a local Hotel ran by the Masonic lodges / Masons and it was wonderful. Sat outside in the morning and enjoyed a cigar, then took a UBER home as I did not feel like walking about 8 blocks home. Now, what I spent this morning was about $100 dollars for breakfast, but that's the price you pay for these nice things here. Just my Breakfast bill came out to $31.00. But it was PERFECT. I don't bother to order anything specific anymore (I have trouble speaking due to a TBI) , and the staff knows me, and I only use ONE waitress at the restaurant. I don't even bother if she's not there. But I don't have to do anything. I come in place my things on the table, go wash my hands, or hit the ATM if I did not bring cash, and then sit back down. Everything is there for me just like I had a Wife, but better. There is my food, all brought to me with a cold glass of water with a lemon. The Glass of Reisling is there with an Orange slice. My breakfast whatever it is PERFECT. Hash Browns thin & crunchy like I enjoy them. And whatever is best on the breakfast menu that day. $20 tip as standard for me, and a 5iver for the cooks in the back as custom for me. Go out to the Gift shop and they already know my Coffee drink enjoy. Made perfect with a double cup as I HATE those sleeve cardboard things, and off I go about my day. This is right up the street from my home and I live in Portland. What living overseas means to me is that I can get all this for around $20 bucks or less. More like less then $10.00 for the same food and service in many places around Asia and Eastern Europe. What sets it apart is the other things like medical care, quality of that life and the women. Let's not be shy here, the women are fantastic.

I'm looking at Lous or Russia or even Japan for Long term. The rural housing markets in South Korea are also a great deal as these are essentially vacant ghost towns in their terms. But I rather ENJOY driving, so I don't care about living in the countryside in a large home where I can have a garage.

@BO-mb8rr it's just the Brits and the folks over there that absolutely aren't used to warm weather and happen to be around muggy days and cloudy skies quite often

@LaoSoftware Poor Asian people Vs. "Poor" people in the West. I know what I would pick in a heartbeat. I'm getting in early in these poor places as they won't be poor very long. These "Poor" people are only poor in money and opportunities. This is an easy problem to fix as they have not only the drive, but the High I.Q. needed in order to make all these issues nill. Truth be told, I'd rather be around poor people like this than rich people in the west if you know what I mean.

Look, if you JUST want to experience a VACATION, that is a whole different thing from living in a place like Thailand. If you want to LIVE or spend a significant amount of time in one city or country, then of course your experience is going to be different. Look, if you want to live for cheap, you can still AND SHOULD do that to save up money in the first place. If you don't have 100k in the bank? Then live and adapt like a Local would. With a Western salary, you can save that up in less than 2 years if you bust your chops. Then do what you can to start any business that you can to fulfill a market niche or need and then start living life once you get there. There is a strong amount of confidence you get when you have money saved up in the bank along with REAL ASSETS. (or liabilities that still have some worth) 19:41 so if there's something that's not available right away well there's a great business opportunity there for you!:text-yellow-goal:

This is the way to live if you just want to relax and save up for the future. I end up having so much to do, I don't really understand how others have so much time for other things like hanging out in bars. Did that during my times in the navy and it got pretty boring after a while.

Take this for what you will, but the whole point is to enjoy pounding when you reach that stage of your life. Money is just a tool at that point to get what you want.
