  3. Trust me, women always knew there were orgasms. The sexual revolution was primarily an acknowledgement that sex is not dirty, and that sex for recreation is perfectly normal.

The fact is that, for our species, sex has two functions: procreation, and social bonding. It is in fact intended to be a recreational activity.
