What have they done?

Yes this reminds me of 15 years ago when the Harper government was tossed out in a Liberal landslide. After PP leads us into a recession we will see the same again when we are rescued by a new Liberal leader.

I remember people saying that when Harper was tossed out.

What has he done? I don't like him but I see new cars everywhere. I see shopping mall parking lots full. I see help wanted signs everywhere. I certainly didn't see that when Harper and PP were in government which is why they were tossed out. I here a lot of personal hating and whining but not much fact.

@donaldliverance2597 I paid $28000 for a house in 1978. The world changes. Canada had resource industries and manufacturing which could have allowed us to be self sufficient. We had strong union jobs and a strong middle class. The problem is the wealthy wanted more profit. Conservative governments promised cheaper prices if we got rid of unions and sent our resources to Cuba and our manufacturing to Mexico. People like you supported that and eventually it killed our economy under Harper. To bring it back the corporations said bring the minimum wage immigrants to Canada and we'll bring our money back. We needed foreign investment from wealthy immigrants. All that money created inflation and record profits and landlord greed. I have over 50 adult years and watched how conservatives destroyed our nationalism and self sufficiency to serve the wealthy. Here we are. Enjoy it. I will live long enough to laugh when PP further enslaves you.

It's comical how the drama queens and haters on social media think an election is going to save them from their personal failures and change anything.

@Redbgone And he will continue on with his life of wealth and privilege while you discover that your failed life wasn't his fault and PP who we threw out of government 10 years ago didn't save you.
1
It was the same when they tossed out Harper and PP. Conservatives always kill the economy and job market which will return us to the only alternative as the decades old Liberal/Conservative cycle continues. This country is run by corporations anyway.
1
Ironic that we said the same thing about the Harper/PP government when we tossed them out.

You must be a rocket scientist. That or took 5 minutes on your smart phone to see that Canadians go from Conservative to Liberal in the never ending cycle of eventual failure and disappointment. Trudeau won a landslide when we threw of PP and his puppet master's economy and job killing government. The same will happen after Canadians discover disappointment is the only result we ever get.

@Paul-vf2wl Just more tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations and programs slashed to pay for it.
1
No it's because political parties don't eat their leaders. No one challenged Harper when it was clear Canadians were sick of conservatives killing our economy and job market and tossed them out with a Liberal landslide. When PP leads us into a recession and solves none of your problems the cycle will continue with a new Liberal leader. Did you just arrive in Canada or do you live in a cave unaware of our political history.
1
Yes we will only have one party. At least until the Conservatives kill the economy and job market as they always do and then get tossed out as they always do.
1
@RobertMcLennan-f2v Rebranded? If someone rebrands poo to ice cream will you eat it. Canadians will continue switching from liberal to conservative governments every 10 years as they have for decades.
1
@Harvey017 What a ridiculous comment. Neither will ever happen. The election is a year away and polls don't decide elections. Once PP has to present policies he'll drop in the polls.

Who owns Global. Who owns 90% of the media in Canada? Conservatives and conservative supporting corporations. The Shaw and Rogers families are well known longstanding conservatives. Just because they don't want to become fruit loop channels like Fox news doesn't mean they support Trudeau.
