  2. That was NOT a V-8 . Sounded like a Detroit Series 60 wound OPEN to me . Not particularly loud , because the Turbocharger swallows most of the Noise . These Big Dakar Trucks are incredible things . Based on Military Designs . REALLY FAST on Dirt/Sand . You should check out some of the TRULY BIG 8 x 8 Trucks . Four Axles . That KAMAZ was a 4 x 4 . And yep , around 10-11,000 kilograms .
