Every elections in the world are rigged in two ways: 1) the real choice is who gets to be a candidate (and have sufficient media support to have realistic chances to get elected). 2) Once election is finished the public has practically no legal means to control what the elected official is doing during his term. It works the same in any country. North Korea just practices a more primitive form of the same hipocricy.

  2. Just by looking at the geography (a landlocked region) and geostrategic disposition (no firm US allies around it) one could tell that US overextended by conquering Afghanistan. It was a US defeat in the long run. A lot of resources spent on a war that yielded little benefit in return.

  5. Given that there was no civil war, this only happens when the state security of the country in question wants to oust the president and allows this to happen.
