45:46 - Carthaginians, even before the First Punic War had a standardized ship design made out of pre-fabricated parts. Romans copied the idea during the First Punic War (together with a wrecked Carthaginian ship) and expanded on it. Venetians later used the concept too in their shipyard/arsenal. But note that the Carthaginians are the first I've heard of as RECORDED to have used the concept, there could have been earlier examples I haven't heard of, or weren't recorded in history... Given how much benefit standardized design carries (faster and cheaper ship building as well as repair) I wouldn't be surprised it was around at least as early as Minoan, Early Kingdom Egyptian , and contemporary Phoenician navies...

Russian navy was a very capable force at the time of Catherine the Great (Baltic fleet sailed around the Europe to the Mediterranean and devastated the Ottoman navy) and later during the Napoleonic Wars (Adm. Ushakov's brilliant campaign against the French alongside the British) and the Greek War of Independence (in alliance with the French and the British, again wrecking the Ottomans).
