00:44:28 I am no linguist but could the Italian term "fregata" (from which the English term "frigate" comes) be connected to the also Italian (Venetian more specifically) term "regata" (regatta as a loan word in English) which denotes a boat race? Given the linguistic similarities and the fact that frigates were built for speed I believe it is likely. The term "regatta" is from Venetian regata ("contention for mastery"), from regatare ("compete, haggle, sell at retail").

@NonSektur Is the term older than the ship class?
