It may be possible, but it will likely be tough finding a job. The CCNA is a good certification, but its not usually a beginner level IT cert. If you're in the US, I suggest looking at local school districts for any IT tech/support jobs as that can be a good way to get started in the IT field.

Not that I'm aware of.

I'm sure it was just for demonstration purposes.

Do you work from home? If so, then your internet connection has no direct connection to your company's network, so that's why you need a VPN client in order to connect to their network.

Sometimes you need the dedicated circuit for the best network performance.

Well there are underground cables. A lot of places have underground utilities.

No. There's still too much information missing to be considered a CCNA course. Its incomplete. I suggest watching Jeremy's IT Lab. He may not be as exciting as Chuck, but his series is complete and informative.

They already are in a playlist in his channel.

Yes. They're usually fiber optic cables.

This video is about a different type of network architecture. Its when you have a main office, for instance, and need to connect remote offices back to a main headquarters.
1
How does that work when the branch offices are not in the same area?

It all depends on the needs of the business. Not all businesses have the same needs. Smaller businesses likely won't need a complex network setup. They usually just need an internet connection and maybe a file server. However, when you get into larger networks, their needs are different. I worked at a dried fruit company. Where I worked, it was the main production facility and HQ. However, we had numerous dryer locations throughout the state. All of those sites reported back their production to a custom built server application. They all need and internet connection of some sort. As I recall, we had a metro ethernet setup. We would have a company install a network connection. Through the magic of MetroE, all of the sites had network connectivity with our HQ even if they were 100+ miles away.

@konradwerner4134 It may be possible a CCNA gets you an entry-level job, BUT there's no guarantee. No certification guarantees you a job, but may help.
